I am not sure if this is the best place to post my question. (I couldn't find any help in the database.) My antivirus program (BitDefender) skips all (or most?) Adobe program files because they are password protected. Is there a way to unprotect them (or this action would be unsafe for the program files), or get the "proper administrative right", or is it safe to ignore this message? Is this really a potential problem, and if it is, how the experts solve it? I would appreciate any suggestion, Laci. (P.S. At this point, on this page, I can't find a way to include attachments - it used to be here, where did it go? )
I don't even have an antivirus program installed on my edit rig. I use another computer for everything that might cause me to need one. And I know how to be careful, even with the edit rig connected.
It's never once been a problem.
However, there have been problems with AV software interfering with a production rig.
Thanks for your answer, however, I am still interested if I could scan those files (if I wanted). Also, how I became a "Community Member", and how can I upload attachments? Sorry for all these questions but I haven't posted on any of the Adobe forums for a long time (although I am following many discussions .) Thanks again, Laci.
What I'm suggesting is that you not worry about it and possibly even remove BitDefender completely.
