Steps to repro? (Always give steps to see if someone else can repro so they can confirm it's a bug.) I haven't encountered such an issue yet. Using a Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi model) with using Android 4.0.4.
Yes. This is based on a non-destructive lighting tutorial for PS Touch under Adobe TV.
- I open in Visio tablet any photo
- I add an empty layer
- I black fill empty layer and set opacity to 70%
- I add light fx and adjust intensity, etc
- By either step 4 or 5 the layer with fx applied disappears and never returns.
This is only one example. I can do anything with a 2nd layer and apply fx and will have same thing happen once the instensity of the fx is adjusted.
Hope this helps. I am new at app and am a bit frustrated with this.
Could you please be more specific on which layer gets the light fx?
What do you exactly mean in step 5 with "dissapears and never returns"?
Could you please add a screenshot of step 2, 3, 4 and 5?
Have you tried restarting the application or the device?
Adding to what Ignacio said, when you refer to "light fx," are you referring to the "Soft Light" effect under "fx > Photo > Soft Light" on the upper right?
Sorry about the long delay as I had family and life to attend to.
Warunicorn, the FX was Basic>Lighting.
When using Lighting on layer 2 (after filling an empty layer with black) that when I move the circle cursor for the light (whatever it is called) even slightly the black fill disappears.
Here is the tutorial I followed: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-touch/using-lighting-effects/
Above is only one example as anty FX will do same.
Now what makes makes this app very frustrating and useless is that upon further inspection, any second layer with fx applied to it in which the fx intensity slider is adjusted, that layer's content (photo, etc) disappears and can not be retrieved with placing slider back to original positon,
In a nutshell I can not use this app as layers are not working correctly.
Please note I will NOT be adding snapshots as this app is simple enough to explain, nor do I have time.
Since I last posted:
- Factory reset my device
- Reformatted my sd card
- Updated device to current settings
- Redownloaded PS touch
- Rebooted device
....and still having same issue.
This app worked perfectly prior to this last app update.
I'm not able to repeat this problem using the steps described. Looking forward to seeing the screen shots.
I'm trying to repro but cannot seem to do so. (Again, note I'm using a Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi model with Android 4.0.4 and PS Touch version 1.2.) Following the steps in Russell Brown's video produces results exactly as in the video.
