I have a user who is getting the following error whilst using After Effects 5.5
"After effects error. could not allocate sound memory. (26::392)
The error only occurs after a 5gb video file is imported into the project and only when the time line is changed to 1hr. When the error occurs it can not be cleared or cancelled and have to close out AE. If the project is left on a short time line the error does not occur ?
Any ideas ? Is this directly related to memory ?
The machine is a Windows 7, HP Z800 Workstation
Split the clip in smaller segments and use those. Yes, could be genuine memory issues, but just the same the audio could be damaged beyond a certain point and whack things out. Unless you take a more selective approach, you'll never find out...
Thanks, will try that out and see what happens
