May I ask why you should want to do this? As to the answer to your question, I would think the shortest way is to try, if you can find the installer for such an old version.
Hi it is because I still have the installation disc with me. I will be upgrading my computer to window 7 64 bit so I am trying to find out if it can still be install onto a 64 bit OS

If I understand correctly, even the latest version of Reader has problems in 64 bits. Why not download a newer version? It's a free application, you know.
I have problems with the "standard" bit of your question; are you asking about Adobe Reader, or Adobe Acrobat?
If Adobe Reader, then you should download the latest version from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
If Adobe Acrobat, then most likely it will install on Windows 7, but you may need to run it in Windows XP compatibility mode. I'm doing the same with Photoshop 7.
