...But it doesn't.
Yesterday I did some testing that resulted in a Photoshop crash that was likely due to a bad font. I restarted Photoshop several times after that and did some testing, then just left Photoshop minimized all night.
Today I went to close Photoshop and got an indication that it thinks a PSB document is open, with the same name as the PSD file I was testing with yesterday when Ps crashed.
I assume this may be somehow related to the AutoSave feature, but the file never opened upon restarting Photoshop.
I haven't yet exited it yet, and I'm in no hurry to do so, so if any Adobe folks happen by in the near future, let me know if there's something else you'd like me to look at.
Last piece of info on this: Upon restarting Photoshop after forcing it closed, no images opened (were recovered). In addition, subsequent testing of the AutoSave recovery feature by killing Photoshop.exe showed that it is working normally.
That bad font issue had probably screwed up everything in that prior session. Preferences seem to have survived it though it seems a bit strange that it latched onto this one filename.
