> Question how do you add a wav file in director.
File -> Import
Yes thank you for the import but I gues I need to know how do you say when and how to get it to play
Once you have your sound member imported:
look up puppetsound and/or play() in the help file for more details.
> I need to know how do you say when and how to get it to play
F1 -> Contents (tab) -> Using Director -> Sound and Synchronization ->
members. This entry suggests the commands queue() and play() and
recommends looking them up in the Scripting Reference section.
To cut to the chase, use:
when you want to play the sound file named "soundMemberName" in channel
1. There are 8 channels available to Lingo (only 2 appear in the Score
window) and they are all mixed down before being sent to the sound
card/chip for delivery, so you can play 8 (stereo) sounds all at once if
you need to. Video files with embedded audio play their sound
independently of Director and its sound channels
Thank you all for the help I have it working great
Is there away I can show you guys my dir file so I can get more help on other options I'm new to this post so I dont really know
You can upload it to a server somewhere so that others can download it
and take a look, or you can continue asking questions here
OK so here it is http://www.designneeds.net/test.dir. Please let me know how I can fix this. One I have tried to change my cursor but I don't know what I did really and I don't like how it is. Two I want to know how to not make it start at first. Three I wanted the user to be able to put a coin in the machine and then play everytime but I think that is way to advance for me is there an easy way to do that? And four I would like to have a lever and I want it to be animated as well but I don't want the machine to spin until the handle goes up and I'm not sure how to achive that. Any of these answers would be great
