Can you show us a screen shot of your Advanced Action so that we can see how you've set it up?
I just set up the same toggle action but I had mine slightly differently set up so that:
If toggle == 0
Assign toggle = 1
Assign toggle = 0
This worked for me and clicking the button did not advance the slide timeline.
Do you have Pause After X seconds selected for the button properties under Timing accordion?
If your button is not pausing the slide and you allow the timeline to move beyond the button's active area (at the end of the slide or at the end of the button's duration on the timeline) then it will cease to work.
That's what I'm trying to tell you. Unless you select the Pause After and set the timing so that the button will pause somewhere in the middle of the slide, then the timeline will continue to play, the playhead will reach the end of the slide, and your toggle button will become inactive.
If you want to allow the user to keep clicking the toggle button as many times as they want, set Pause After. You'll need to provide an alternate interactive means to get to the next slide. Either another button or clickbox, or else tell them to click the playbar Next button.
Thanks for helping me.
Could you please let me know why at the end of the slide actions did not work.
Because when the button reaches its last frame on the timeline it becomes inactive. It will only trigger advanced actions while it is active.
Means its a default fuctionality by captivate.
Buttons will be inactive at the end of the slide.
That's really strange.
Does this functionality helps in something. I didnt get the reason
Yes it's the default functionality. If you don't like it, talk to Adobe.
Thanks for you suggestion.
and thanks for your positive attitude.
