What version of Photoshop?
...or any version of Fireworks for the past many years.
Do you have a copy of InDesign? If so, you could set the text up in InDesign, and then paste it into Photoshop.
If not, is it possible for you to download the trial version? If the people in charge of software purchasing decisions saw how much faster you could work this way, do you think would they buy it? It's not very time-efficient to set up lots of type in photoshop.
As mentioned above by Marian, go for Photoshop CS6. Both Character Styles and Paragraph Styles are supported.
So thats great that CS6 has such awesome type features.
When I eventually upgrade to it, I will be all set.
But I havent done that yet.
Is there anything close to that in CS5?
Thats what I need to know.
As for the InDesign transfer option, I realize InDesign has excellent type control but I need to be doing all of this in Photoshop.
Are all you guys using CS6 already?
As a subscription or have you purchased it as a stand alone app?
It's a new feature in CS6 only. You are out of luck in CS5.
Using CS6 subscription.
Is there anything close to that in CS5?...
If your CS5 includes Fireworks.
It does but we dont use Fireworks. : (
Then you had better upgrade to Photoshop CS6 so that you can catch up to all the web designers that have had this feature in Fireworks for many years.
