"Note: While the selectedCells, selectedIndices, and selectedItems properties are all writable, Adobe recommends that you use methods of the DataGrid to change selection programmatically."
OK.. So how do I programmatically select multiple items?
The setSelectedIndex method will only add a single item.
I have tried to ''push" an index onto the selectedIndicies but that won't work either...
Please help me.. this is driving me nuts...
I think you use addSelectionIndex, removeSelectionIndex, and other methods that work with GridSelectionMode.MULTIPLE_ROWS. Maybe start by looking at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/spark/components/DataGr id.html#methodSummary

Yep, thats what I needed. Thanks.
I did eventually get it to work put creating a temporary Vector, pushing the indexes on, and then using selectedIndicies=Vector, which did work, but those methods are much neater.
great for us
