Not sure about this.
A word of advice: Absolute positioning is generally best used in small doses only. It works well for images (which have fixed dimensions), but not so great for text elements, as these can expand or contract based on typeface, sizing, spacing, etc. This can lead to page elements overlapping unintentionally. Generally speaking, web pages are meant to flow.
I found a way after reading the discussion on overlapping text http://www.adobe.com/devnet/fireworks/articles/export_css_images.html:
1. create two text object.
2. move them so they overlap.
as long as there is overlapping text, the whole page will be exported in absolute positioning mode.
we use FW for creating interface for some embedding devices so the concern is different from web design. But thanks very much for your advice!
