Why are discretionary hyphens exported to Word as regular fixed hyphens as of CS5?

In older versions of InDesign, discretionary hyphens were dropped on export to Word.

As of CS5, and thus also in CS5.5 and CS6, they are exported as regular fixed hyphens.

This is definately unwanted behaviour and I wonder how and why it suddenly turned up the way it did.

On another note, I tried logging a bug report with Adobe but the site kept kicking me back to fill out "missing fields" which I had already completed.

I gave up after 6 attempts.

      Any insights on this?

      Regards, Roel.
