You may find it here: Download Adobe CS4 and CS3 Free Trials Here (incl. After Effects) | ProDesignTools
You need to follow their directions EXCACTLY for things to work. If you do find what you need, make a backup copy this time.
Indeed I have a DVD version 4.
I will mount it.
That won't help with CS5.5.
I'm pretty sure following the directions from the page at Pro Design Tools that I linked will get you access tot he CS5 and CS5.5 installers, too.
Fortunately I do have CS5 DVDS!
Looking for v.4 found them, from a year ago.
Perhaps it is the path you showed.
Thanks again, Peter.
You MUST read and follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS section. If you skip directly to the links you will fail.
It is a forum there with the same problem.
Have to insist at a different hour, or change the server, firewalls, etc.
For the moment I am in CS5 but could not load a plugin because the extension manager I have is CS6.
I suppose I have to download an specific EM 5?
Sounds logic that the same EM could be valid for all versions but only shows CS6 items...
You most likely need to uninstall CS6, then reload BOTH versions in order.
Uninstall now is a new procedure in Adobe?
In the past, uninstall did not disappeared main files from the folders and now I saw how they vanished.
I am seeing that uninstalling CS6 will be a terrible thing as I will need to download again it...
You should make a habit of saving all downloaded program installers someplace, either on your hard drive or some external media, just so you don't need to download them again. You never know when you might need them for a problem like this, or to recover from a hard drive crash (and I also recommend a RIGOROUS backup routine so a hard drive crash doesn't leave you with nothing).
Yes, but in all these years I never used the extension manager; Typefitter or F&Change Automaticon never asked for it, for example
For each suite an dedicated EM. Anyway, EM5 was available.
Anyway it seems strange that uninstall now eliminates files...
Thanks again for your time and very good advices.
Unless you have some third-party plugin or want to turn off some part of ID, there's really no reason you would need the extension manager at all. Why are you using it?
With this problem I was reinstalling Docflows from a third party that opens the EManager...
Peter: Download the CS5.5 update has been impossible.
I think it is related to some requisites Adobe demands in the browser, not if I have mounted an specific version?
Another step could be buying the Dvd directly from Adobe.
I recovered the CS6 installer dmg. Thanks for this tip.
