Exporting with Avid DNxHD and defining bit depth

    SupraJohde

So, a customer want a master file in .MOV container encoded with DNxHD codec.

Everything else is ok while exporting but there are a section where you can define if you "render at maximum depth" when rendering and you can choose different bit depths.

So what does these different bit depths mean?

Are those bit depths used while rendering?

Because you can define if the final output is 8 or 10 bit in "Codec Settings".

Why would i want to use 48 or 64 bit depths while rendering when max bith depth with filters are 32(PP is using 32-bit floating point)?
