I just loaded Premiere Pro as a trial. Wanted to try it before I signed on to the cloud. I imported some test footage and the 1080p 30 is showing the yellow unrended line. It plays back but it has to be rendered.
I thought that it played 1080p native without rendering. I just just given a new workstation, it is an i5 and very fast. The computer does not have a graphics card installed. Could that be the problem?
What camera is it from, and what is the CODEC of that video?

The yellow line is not as troublesome as you might think. If it plays, you're good. You only "need" to render if it won't play real time and you really want it to.
It's AVCHD shot on a Panasonic Camera. First effort on Premier / PC from FCP on a MAC. Preview files renders very quick so it not a big deal. Looked at chart. Better understanding.
