was asked by Adobe employee to move question to this forum. Am I in the right place for help? Thanks in advance.
Have you tried setting loop to true instead of infinite?
Do any of the other flashvars actually work? for example, can you turn off autoplay for testing purposes?
Best of luck,
Thanks, tried your suggestion: autoPlay already works because I selected that in embed form from Picasa, and autoPlay=false manually inserted in script below does not turn off autoPlay. So google seems to control .swf parameters beyond the script below. of course loop=true or infinite does not work either. However I can change the RGB background color, so perhaps there are variables in this script that control autoplay, loop, etc? none are apparent to me though. Here is picasa script with autoplay (autoplay works even though I can't see variable in script--can you?),
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="288" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=https%3A% 2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2F

thanks in advance for suggestion.
My guess is that there are only limited flashvars that are allowed to work with this script... that's why I suggested turning off the autoplay... to see if you actually can insert flashvars and get them to respond.
At this point I'd say your best bet is to work with Picasa to see if you can get more control over the slideshow, since there are already a number of parameters already built into the .swf itself.
