From Photoshop 12.1 x64 (on Windows 7 as part of CS5) the CS Live pane never connects fully, it just constantly says "updating your account - we are currently updating your account, please wait a few minutes and try again" (see attached screenshot). This has displayed ever since I installed the software four weeks ago. IT was a clean install with no previous version of Photoshop installed.
The firewall is not blocking it, preferences are set to allow extensions to connect to the internet, other extensions (i.e. Kuler) connect, and I can log into my Adobe ID through the portal.
No idea what is going on, please help.
I am getting the same issue. I'm on a Mac using CS5.5 Photoshop and get that same "We are currently updating your account, please try again in a few minutes" message. I noticed you posted this back in June and haven't seen a response so hopefully me commenting might grab an Adobe Support person (or anyone's) attention.

apparently CS Live was discontinued in April.
