I am having issues installing Flash Player on the Windows 8 Release Preview (Build 8400) 64 bit.
I am trying to install the newest Flash Player for Firefox 64 bit (It is actually a custom build called BlazingFast built on firefox 12.0). It gets to 100%, freezes, and then tells me the ActiveX control could not be registered. I am running no antivirus (as my favorite one is not yet compatible with Windows 8), and am using an administrator account. I have tried running in compatibility mode for Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows XP, but nothing works.
My system specs:
Windows 8 Release Preview (Build 8400) x64
BlazingFast (Firefox 12 x64)
2GB of RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6290 GPU
AMD C-60 APU @ 1Ghz (Dual core)
Any other info you may need, let me know.

Reason: I herped the derp.
you need to download the other version of flash (if i recall correctly there's a bug on the RP and adobes site where it will only download the active-x version)
download from here http://filehippo.com...yer_firefox_64/
Thank you so much, your solution worked flawlessly. I wonder what causes the browser to download the ActiveX version?
There is really no need to post 3rd-party download links; Adobe has all installers available at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment and other places.
