1. Re: Text Edge preview 6, .oam files
Bob Levine Jun 5, 2012 12:21 PM (in response to aa_lique)They’re called overlays for a reason. You cannot put static content above them.
You can try turning the text into a button that, IMO, is a rather dangerous workaround. Why not just put that text right into the Edge file?

aa_lique Jun 5, 2012 8:11 PM (in response to Bob Levine)Thanks for your reply. I'll either place the text in a separate frame under the image
or as you suggest directly in the edge file.

aa_lique Jun 5, 2012 8:30 PM (in response to Bob Levine)Will webfonts that are used in an Edge .oam file, and then imported into Indesign, translate well in DPS?

4. Re: Text Edge preview 6, .oam files
Bob Levine Jun 6, 2012 5:05 AM (in response to aa_lique)I have not tried it in Edge but you'd be taking a chance with that. What if the reader is not online?
I haven't tried editing Edge CSS but for HTML articles I've used @font-face to embed fonts successfully into the article. Always check the font license before doing so.

mobly Oct 26, 2012 7:27 AM (in response to Bob Levine)Hi Bob
I've used @font-face now and font squirel to add fonts to the edge animate OAM file, but it still doesnt work. I'm clearly not linking the oam file to the css file! could I just point the web view to the html file thats generated - retorical question, I'll go and check!!
UPDATE
seems I had a buggy indesign file, I created a new page, added the OAM file (that uses @font-face) and the font now works on the iPad! ho hum, but glad it works

7. Re: Text Edge preview 6, .oam files
mobly Jun 6, 2014 4:03 AM (in response to Adrian Bugaj)you need to embed the actual fonts into the html folder, I'm pretty sure though that the fonts still don't get seen if you use the .OAM, only works if you point the web view the the edge HTML folder. Did this a year ago so memory is a bit stretchy. OAM is very clunky with fonts and doesn't work with external JS either. Unless that has changed in the last 6-9 months! HTH Alistair
