I'm on a Mac running 10.6.8 and using creative site 5.5. Today, suddenly, nearly all Adobe fonts are unrecognized by InDesign and Photoshop. New documents, old documents, doesn't seem to matter. Other fonts seem OK. Ones that won't work in CS 5.5 seem to work in Word and other software. Don't use font management software, just FontBook. Small business where owner is tech support too, so...go easy. Thanks.
have you tried clearing the font caches?
No, how do I do that? Do I do that within adobe software?
Easiest way is probably with a utility like Cocktail. Can be done manually, too, but I'm not a Mac user.
On PC I'd delete all Adobefnt**.lst files, where ** is a two-digit number.
Did it with Font Finagler software download. Fixed it. Or seems to. Thank you.
