ID compares a time stamp in the link to the modification date of the actual image file on the server. The problem is probably that the clocks between your workstation and the server are not in sync.
Do you run Suitcase Fusion 3? There was a bug that caused this.
Thank you for your answer.
When you say the time stamp you talk about the modification date in the box link info ?
Because this date is the same on the image and in indesign and when I update the image this date doesn't change.
the only informations that change when I update the links are the import date and the state (modified become ok)
I don't run Suitcase Fusion 3
How about automatic backup software or some utility that is synching with an online or other location?
I have think about it but why now. We have backup every day.
The only thing that have been done recently is an image of the image server.
Is there a solution to avoid these lost of links ?
Does it happen again after you update the links? The imaging of the server might have had something to do with it.
Until you know what the csuse is, you can't know what the solution might be.
It's the first time we make an image of the server.
For the moment the links which have been updated are still ok.
I understand that if I'm not sure that it's the image of the server that causes the lost of links, I can't solution the problem.
That's why I try to understand the way the status of images change in indesign.
