Why would expect it to be different? What ever is on a page is what winds up on the PDF so I’m not sure I understand where the problem is.
It doesn't seem like much to ask that the program could either alternate a bleed or cut off the ends like PS does.
In any case, I'm looking for solutions, not snarky comments.
And I don't think Bob was being snarky, just pointing out that if something is crossing the spine, it's on both pages and is expected to be included. If you've specified inside bleed, unless you split the spread as explained in the link, your bleed area IS the edge of the other page.
