Is this possible to create the mouseover/out events for the buttons with transparent parts and so the event is not fired on the transparent parts? Optionaly if there is a way to import or even draw a custom shape and add event handler to it?
I have two objects which are not rectangular and which are adjacent and I wanted to add different actions when the mouse is over one or another. The only way I can do this now is to make these objects as the button icons and set event handlers but Acrobat seems to ignore the shape and transparency and fires the event on the rect-bounds of the buttons.
Thank you in advance and I am sorry for my broken english!
A button can be configured to change its appearance on rollover, but there is no other action that can be associated with it. This is different than the Mouse Enter/Exit events, which can have associated actions.
The short answer is what you want to do is not possible, but you may be able to approximate it using multiple small and perhaps some larger buttons, each with the same mouse enter/exit actions. If you place and resize them to closely match the areas you want to be active, it may work sufficiently well. It really depends on how complicated the areas are and what actions you want to perform.
Thank you for the answer!
Unfortunately this solution is too complicated.
Initially I thought about creating shapes like comment tools can provide but I failed.
