Adding facebook like button to an email campaign

    justasking506 Community Member

Have spent quite a bit of time today trying to figure out how to add the Facebook "like" button to an email campaign. I know an email has static content so we can't just insert the standard js code that is used for webpages. Reading around the web, it is doable. I've tried a couple of things, but can't work it out. Any advice would be appreciated.

      Thanks.

It is. It doable in the true sense. All it can be is a link. You can have parameters in this link and work on some JavaScript on the page to pull in that info and try to run an auto population but without server side coding access this I am not sure is even possible fully and effectively.

Why do you need to? You link to things on your website with email campaigns. A goal with an email campaign is to not cram everything in an email campaign and expect people to read it. You direct them and the traffic to the site so it can display and render the content better and more options such as dynamic features like JavaScript.

There you can have the likes to the articles etc. spending the time setting up this nicely may be worth it over trying to achieve a like in an email.
