Trevor.Dennis Jun 9, 2012 3:03 AM (in response to evan.fotis)Evan, are you talking about the brush cursor? In which case have you got Caps lock on? Or the preview panel? In which case it might have been moved off screen, and might come back if you reset your workspace. If none that works, then may be time to reset the preferences with Shift Cmd Opt on starting Photoshop

evan.fotis Jun 10, 2012 1:35 AM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)Thanks!
Reseting the prefs by deleting the pref file "Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs.psp" manually worked. Ctrl+Alt+Shift did nothing interestingly enough..
I was refering to the small window "preview panel" located top left, that shows a side view of the brush tip & tilt as it touches the paper.

Trevor.Dennis Jun 10, 2012 3:03 AM (in response to evan.fotis)You are obviously talking about CS6 Extended, so the Shift Cmd Opt on restart should have worked. So long as you have fixed it though.

PECourtejoie Jun 11, 2012 7:35 AM (in response to evan.fotis)Hi!
You took a brute force approach to the problem You can show hide it with the first icon at the bottom of the brush presets panel.
Some more info about it: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-photoshop-cs5/working-with-the-new-bristle-brush-tips/

evan.fotis Jun 11, 2012 7:49 AM (in response to PECourtejoie)nice tip, apparently my prefs were garbled 'cause neither that or the Menu View>Show>Brush Preview command had any result. Now both work, and even if I accidentally close the preview while drawing, either going to the menu or the brush panel icon brings it up again.

PECourtejoie Jun 11, 2012 7:52 AM (in response to evan.fotis)Yes, maybe was it just hidden somewhere. I don't know if the menu would show a line rather than a checkmark, like it does for panels.
You can also reset a tool by right-clicking its icon in the option bar. (not the toolbar)
