Need help achieving a certain line quality

I am trying to achieve a certain line quality using the stroke of a shape, the mark made by a pen tool, or any similar line. An example of what I am talking about is below (I apologize for the

      pixelation. This is s screenshot.).

If you'll notice, both the line work of the Vitruvian Man, and the linework next to it, all look slightly blurred. It's as if the lines bled into the sort of parchment-colored background. Another way of lookng at it might be that it looks as if the lines are burned into the parchment-colored background or substrate.

My question: Is there a way to achieve this kind of look or effect using Adobe InDesign CS5?

If yes, how do you do it?

      Thank you!
