HTML TITLE tag and pasted variable

I'm trying to do dual UK and US projects from single source HTMLHelp.
Obviously I can't see the TITLE unless I jump to HTML view, then I paste a variable string from the topic body to give a line of, e.g.
<TITLE>Applying solid <uservariable name=colour_LC x-showvalue x-value=colour>colour</uservariable>s</TITLE>

I need to do this as the index key work sometimes points to two topics and the pop up exposes UK spelling in US compiles.

Not a happy bunny.

I've reported this through Adobe.

Aha, I see what you mean. That would be a problem. I saw a similar problem on the horizon recently just found a way to avoid using the variable name in any titles.

Could you use conditional build tags applied to two different topics, one with the UK spelling and one with the US?
