Are you using photoshop elements?
There is a reset button at the bottom of the quick fix and also in full edit you can go to Window>Undo History
click on the state that says Open, which should get your photo back to how it was when you opened it.
I am using Elements 9. The problem is that the quick fix itself is in greyscale as well as the lighting fix. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and that didn't help either. When I go to print a photo, my printer also does not recognize colour all of a sudden. I don't think the two are related because everything seems to be driven by Elements 9. Any other suggestions? I am really feeling desparate.....
Are you saying that every photo you open into the pse 9 editor is grayscale instead of color?
If that happens with every photo you might try resetting the photoshop elements preferences:
(on macs the keyboard shortcut is Shift>Cmd>Option)
