You Tube (Google) have recently increased their security and now require "Two Stage" authorisation for many products. This entails setting up a password in Google for each application that is required to access your Google/YouTube account directly. Having generated an application specific password for Elements all works fine!
Sadly, although Elements appears now to log on to You Tube, upload still does not work. I now get the message
Sorry, an error occur during the uploading process. Please try again later.
(I have tried the new process with Cyberlink and it uploads fine!).
Still having no success uploading. Anyone suggest a solution??
I just got this email from Google. The troubleshooting steps only apply to a mail client. I'm pretty sure the unauthorised attempt, which contained the correct user naem and password, was Premiere Elements. I think Google has made me a victim of its ubiquity. As though managing passwrods were not already difficult enough.
Someone recently tried to use an application to sign in to your Google Account, email@example.com. We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:

If you do not recognise this sign-in attempt, someone else might be trying to access your account. You should sign in to your account and reset your password immediately. Find out how at http://support.google.com/accounts?p=reset_pw
If this was you and you want to give this application access to your account, complete the troubleshooting steps listed at http://support.google.com/mail?p=client_login
