    No audio to tape

    captainpj98407

I cannot get audio to export to tape in SD or HDV?   Adobe got it to work once and that is it!  Any words of advice.  THX!

I don't use tape cameras, but I do remember reading a message that said you must turn hardware MPE off to be able to export to tape

But... More information needed for someone to help... click these links and provided the requested information

If you click sequence then select "sequence settings" then select "playback settings" Then you'll see where it says external device,  you'll want to make sure that is selected to your HDV device. Then at the below that you'll see where it says "desktop audio or external device audio" you'll want to select external device audio which will allow you to send the audio to your HDV/recording device.

Then at the bottom you'll want to make sure the export device part is selected to the proper device as well. After you do this it SHOULD work.  For me personally I can't export to our stations DVC pro decks with audio unless I check the external device audio box it was something that took me a bit to figure out the first time so hopefully this will happen to be what the issue was for you as well. Keep in mind though your computer won't play sound when you check this box because it will be playing audio to your recording device instead! So once you're done you'll want to change it back so your computer will play premiere's sound again instead of outputting it to your recording device.
