Strange dark lines/heavy stroke weight in tables when exporting to PDF

When I export my InDesign project to PDF form and I view the tables/charts in the PDF, random lines in the tables are very dark, like the stroke weight has increased several times. However, when I zoom in or out, the line weights return to normal and other line weights in the tables that were not previously dark, become darker and thicker. So basically, zooming in and out seems to change the line weight in different areas of different tables. I have tried highlighting the tables in InD and resaving the tables with uniform line weights, even though they appear to be uniform to begin with, but that doesn't fix anything. I am exporting to version 5, I've seen some posts that exporting to version 4 or lower can have this effect. Any advice/suggestions?

      Thanks!
