flash player quit working after update

I received a message that I needed to update my flash player.  I followed the directions to download and install the update.  Now my flash player doesn't work at all.  How can I fix it?

1.) What OS and Version are you using?

2.) What Browser and Version are you using?

3.) What are the symptoms you're experiencing?  (What do you do, what do you see?)
