1. Re: PRORES Exporting on Windows 7 machine
BenKadie Jun 19, 2012 10:53 AM (in response to Viktor Devjatov)Several festivals asked for the short film ALONE TOGETHER in ProRes format. We figured out the (many, many) steps for doing it from Sony Vegas, but steps would likely work from Premiere, too.

ComputerNovice25 Jun 19, 2012 1:45 PM (in response to BenKadie)Im going to try your solution for vegas with Premiere. Because I have always been told that there is only a prores decoder for windows not encoder. But we shall see.

Viktor Devjatov Jun 20, 2012 1:29 AM (in response to ComputerNovice25)I've found out that there is another PRORES Encoder on windows 7. That is Harmonic ProCoder. Version 3.19 and it has all PRORES presets.
I can imagine that with help from FrameServer (if it still works in CS6) we can export to PRORES directly from timeline.
But this method needs testing, i will report back if it succeeds

Viktor Devjatov Jun 21, 2012 1:44 AM (in response to Viktor Devjatov)Ok, i've tested it through the DebugMode FrameServer and Harmonic ProCoder and it works perfect! So windows users can export directly from timeline to any PRORES HQ format with sound.
