rcoda1 Jun 18, 2012 9:09 PM (in response to community help)Using this technique, could a PDF be (or still be) 508 compliant? I have a government job where they requested an HTML5 (non-flash) page curl PDF AND 508 compliancy. Personally, I thin the page curl is dumb and that buttons are a better solution. If you really want the "experience of turning a page" buy a book.

Narr GM Coro Aug 7, 2012 9:39 PM (in response to rcoda1)Not an expert, but would think you still get 508 compliance by the normal PDF reader controls -- the page curls are visual extras only.
I understand these 'techniques' perfectly -- but they sure seem awkward.
- why doesn't InDesign properly emit the combination page turner PDF in one step?
- why doesnt InDesign show the actual background of the embedded Flash animation as it will be, and why doesn't it allow you to set background transparency right there in InDesign, again showing you what the result will be?
I hope this is done in such a straightforward and clear way, in InDesign CS6.

Nicok73 Sep 25, 2012 6:51 AM (in response to community help)Hi, thank you for these very useful tricks!
I have a question: how to export a video in an interactive pdf document when it is based on a swf?
I have a 4 pages document including a page curl, animations, buttons, etc. and 1 flv video.
I export the .swf then re-import it and when I save it as a pdf, i cannot read the video...
(I can read it from the swf file but not in the pdf)...
Any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Nico

Green Kids Club Books 1 Jan 21, 2013 11:18 AM (in response to community help)When creating an interactive PDF using a swf, I convert the swf to have a transparent background in Acrobat and get a smaller black background behind the animated objects. Any suggestions to remove the new black box?
