    Russians spiking analytics

      Hi Guys

       

      In the past few days, quite a few of our sites have had huge spikes of traffic from Russia. Normally 600 uniques a day - yesterday 2,500 uniques. This makes site stats go haywire. Any ideas how to eliminate these spikes?

          Hi Mark,

           

          It sounds like the bots are hitting your sites. There's nothing we can do to prevent that from our end. We measure all the hits to the sites, no matter if they're the bots or the browsers, unlike GA for example, where the visitor needs to run a JS snippet in order for the visit to be recorded.
