    Reveal Layer Styles

    Ghoulfool Level 1

Hi! It's probably of no use to anyone, but here goes: Is it possible to script revealing/unrevealing the effects layer styles? You know, the tiny arrow on teh right side of the layers paellete when you have a layer effect assigned. The ScriptListener doesn't pick it up. Oh and this is NOT to be confused to switching layer styles on and off (which has be previously covered) but just trying to neaten up the layer stack if you've got lots of layer with effects on them and you want to hide the effects info.

      Cheers

Yes many vistual changes like fit on screem are not recorded some thing like that can be inserted into actions and scripts using insert menu item and using Xtool.  When you expand or contract things like layer groups don't expect to see them recorded everything in Photoshop isn't recordable only some things are.  You will see layer styles recorded when you add them to a layer. For many Photoshop things there are no script methods some shortcomming there can be done using code generated for the action manager by the scriptlistener plugin some shortcommings not all.

As far as I know there's no way to do that. However, for me, option-clicking one of those arrows will collapse/expand the layer effects for all layers in the document.
