Whilst making my lastest project, I have lost the above facility, to adjust volume levels, (audio mixer). Just totally unable find the image shown anywhere, either via Audio Mix just above the timeline, or via drop down menu under Windows heading. Whichever method, neither way displays any information, as your image above. It was available earlier in this project, but the next time I went to use PRe I wasn't able to locate this window.
Had a couple of replies on open forum, after posting this requesting "help" but of no assistance.
Shall I consider uninstalling then re-installing from my CD programme?
many thanks. Jon

From the Window on the Toolbar, do you see Audio Mixer, but it's grayed out, or is it missing from the list of "Panels?"
When odd things begin happening with the GUI, the first thing that I check is the video driver, as PrE interfaces critically, for all display operations, including the GUI.
What make/model video card/chip do you have?
What is the number and date of the installed video driver?
Is there a newer version? Do not trust your OS, or any utility to tell you if what you have is the latest. Go to the mfgr's. Web site, say nVidia, or ATI/AMD, and check there. If you have a Dell, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, or similar, check at he computer mfgr's. Web site, as many will rewrite, say an nVidia driver, and you need to get hat rewritten one.
If your video driver IS updated to the very latest, then maybe it is time to uninstall/reinstall.
When viewing toolbar, then Windows, the audio mixer is shown in normal type not greyed out, same as selecting from the audio mixer just above timeline. When this is selected by either method, nothing happens.
The strange thing, is that is was working during my two previous projects, and for the majority of this current project. Ended up just trying to adjust from the actual audio track.
"What make/model video card/chip do you have?

Will have to ask the IT specialist at college who only made this new PC some 3 months ago.
Thanks in the mean time.

Just to clarify. When you say:
When this is selected by either method, nothing happens.
Do you see any of the Audio Mixer Panel, maybe a partial display, like the outside of the Panel, but with no dials and settings, or do you mean absolutely nothing?
When you go to the Toolbar>Window, and choose Info Panel, what happens? That is another one, that is usually closed, until the user opens it.
I still lean to a display issue, but could be very wrong.
One thought: did you ever have dual-monitors, and now do not?
Another: did you customize your Workspace, by "undocking" Panels, and moving them about? Thinking that maybe the Audio Mixer IS opening, but is behind something. As a test, go to Window>Reset Workspace, and try again.
Wish that I had more, but good luck,
I don't see anything of the mixer panel now, since this issue commenced. Basically click onto audio mixer, and nothing shows anywhere.
Viewed Toolbars-Windows-info, and screen dump attached. No idea what this means other than it seems a time of some sort. Just adjusted cursor along the timeline, and indeed refers to the time shown by the cursor.
Will check re display issue.
Success, just seen that there was more in your email, which I couldn't see, whilst commenting upon the first couple of lines.
Viewed last line re workspace. Worked Windows- Reset workspace, and success
Many thanks indeed.
The screen-cap did not attach. Only JPEG's, PNG's, BMP's, and a few other formats will work. See this ARTICLE.
OK, what about dual-monitors? Was that ever the case?
Info Panel IS opening, and that is good.
Did you try Reset Workspace? I am feeling that Audio Mixer is being hidden somewhere. With a dual-monitor setup, it could have been dragged to Monitor 2, which is no longer available.
Just thinking here, and may well be way off-base.
