    DTS-HD MA files

    m2425 Community Member

My file format for my DTS-HD MA files from the DTS-HD Master Audio Suite (on my mac, using Encore CS6 on my Windows 7 PC) results in the extension .dtshd & not .dts-hd, is there going to be any problems for Encore CS6 and can I add my DTS-HD MA files to motion menus?

The extension I have heard of is .dtshd and that works fine with Encore CS6 but you can not add it to motion menu because Encore does not process the any DTS files and adding it to motion menu means the file is subject tp processing.

Even sometimes the DTS-HD file in slideshow might cause problem. Because there is a limit on the bit rate of the slideshow encoding imposed by Blu-ray spec. If the audio file bit rate goes above that then the burning will give error.

Thanks again Ramesh, I'm glad that Adobe chose DTS-HD over Dolby TrueHD because the DTS-HD comes with the core already in it while Dolby TrueHD has the core (.ac3) and the lossless (.mlp) separate.

It certainly does, and you forgot to mention that the DTS Core audio also sounds a lot better than AC3 ever did.

                True that!
