I am setting up an index on a large set of documents that form a manual. This index referances all the part numbers listed in these documents. Now what is happening is that I am getting OVERSET TEXT errrors in the index and the text refuses to flow after each of these errors. if I shrink the point of the font and make the columns extremly wide the text will reflow(as they resolve). Is there anyway to get my text to reflow properly without shinking my font size and/or making the columns much wider than they are supposed to be?
Just to clarify, are the boxes flowing to other text frames? And screenshots would help.
Yes there are about 3 columns per page and 6 pages. It is only flowing 3/4 of the way down the first page.
A situation like that is commonly caused by a text srting thatis too wide for the column, but is also restricted from breaking for some reason, or by insets that add to more than the column width.
It's often helpful to open the story in Stroy Editor, and select the first bit of overset text to see what formatting is applied. Also check for the application of No Break, or the use on non-breaking spaces and disallowed hyphenation.
