can anyone please advise me the best way to retouch images for dry offset can printing. i am just about managing. i know the specifications that need to be taken into consideration and am quite a competant print retoucher. i just keep thinking that there must be an easier way...

An easier way than what?
According to this doch it's a CMYK process:
Please contact the company for ICC profiles, maybe depending
on the media.
Having a valid ICC profile, one can optimize by Soft Proofing.
