Cannot Ram Preview For More than 100 Frames

    Toomany3 Level 1

Every so often, I cannot ram preivew more than some 100 frames.

I have a very powerful computer, loaded with tons of ram and processor speed, several SSD drives all configured according to the new CS6 ways of doing it--SSD for disk cache, etc.

It's a dual X5680 system overclocked to 4.4Ghz with 48 gigs of fast ram. Very stable.

When I ram preview it acts as if I'm running out of ram or disk cache, neither of which is the case.

What's going on?  This is as much ram preview as I can get. This project is nothing special.  Curves, light, cam, shadow... that's about it.

Well, I have found the culprit. I didn't realize I had a Magic Bullet Misfire Splotches plugin on a precomp deep inside.

I disabled the plugin and then everything ram previews just like normal.

However, this still doesn't provide a solution since I need that plugin on and dont' want to forget about it for my final render.

Any suggestions besides pre-render out the problem areas?
