I've been trying to export a project for a week now and i keep getting misc. error messages, hanging, and crashing. I downloaded the Digital Rebellion Pro Maintenance tools package, and it diagnosed 27 of the files from my composition to be corrupt. but the files play fine on my computer and within premiere cs5.5, and adobe gave me NO error messages when I imported them or while previewing and editing them. but now that I am rendering and exporting its spazzing out... How do I fix the problem?
Imac 27 I 7 quad core 16gb Ram
Adobe Premiere Pro Cs5.5
After Effects CS5.5
Corrupt Clip Finder doesn't just flag up corrupt files. It also flags up files that may be unsuitable for editing. If you hover over the file it will tell you why it flagged it.
thanks Jon, I was able to import my corrupt session into a new session and export the video just fine. I'm not sure why this worked but it did. If you have any insight please share. thanks again.
Its more likely the Project file got corrupted and what you did is commonly suggested as the fix.
BTW - Always manually make BackUp saves ( "Save As")
