How to capture and save a still from a webcam

    n_kip

Hi, I am totally new to Flex & Actionscipt, I'm trying to capture a webcam still to the server. Found some resources, but I do not know how to put them together to achieve what I need. I hope that someone who is more competent will be able to.

This resource shows how to capture an image and save it to the server via Coldfusion (I'm working with coldfusion), but the image is not from a webcam and the tutorial is on flex 3, while I'm  on flex 4.6

      http://www.adobe.com/devnet/coldfusion/articles/screen_exports.html

Found some code in the documentation to stream a webcam, but not to save an image from it:

      Visit: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flex/using/WS2db454920e96a9e51e63e3d11c0bf69084-7d7f.html

Then scroll down to "Streaming video from a camera to the MX VideoDisplay control"

Have also noticed a low dpi, how can the webcam resoultion be increased?

Then documentation for ImageSnapshot & captureImage

      http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/mx/graphics/ImageSnapsh ot.html

Basically, the webpage should show the webcam stream and have a button to capture an image and save it in a dir in the coldfusion server.

      Much appreciated
