      How do I add plain text to a film?

            A little more information on what you are trying to do with this text will be helpful (e.g. fixed text, rolling credits, 'news ticker' along the bottom etc ...).


            But, generally, you can add text directly to your video by clicking the T icon. You can also use the Edit> Titles feature.


            Once you add text it will appear on the timeline where you can drag an end to set duration, or right-click it to see other possibilities.

              Thank you Neale, that's exactly the information I needed. I'd tried all

              the edit functions I could find but missed the 'T' icon.

              I appreciate an email response also, as I spent a lot of my day yesterday

              trying to work around the video presentations and website - for someone

              not technologically adept, the entire process of asking for help online

              isn't easy to navigate.
