1. Re: Install of CS6 not working for me! Pulling my hair out.
Harm Millaard Jul 11, 2012 5:01 AM (in response to briano.de.rhino)The Microsoft C Runtime Library from Visual Studio 2010 should show version 10.00.30319.1
If that is not the case, visit the Microsoft site. Otherwise contact Adobe Support.

briano.de.rhino Jul 11, 2012 5:23 AM (in response to Harm Millaard)Thanks Harm,
I appear to have several instances of microsoft visual c++. From 2005 to 2010.
microsoft visual c++ 2010 x64 redistributable 10.0.40219
You think I just need to visit microsoft and download latest version?
edit: I just downloaded it from Microsoft but when trrying to install it says I have a newer version already installed.
Thanks,
Brian.

3. Re: Install of CS6 not working for me! Pulling my hair out.
Harm Millaard Jul 11, 2012 5:37 AM (in response to briano.de.rhino)Part of the Adobe install process is in updating (or going back to a previous version) the C+ library modules automatically. There have been numerous instances in the past where this caused serioius havoc. It appears to have been solved with the latest installer, but you never know, so if this does not help, I suggest you contact Adobe support.

5. Re: Install of CS6 not working for me! Pulling my hair out.
briano.de.rhino Jul 17, 2012 2:22 AM (in response to John T Smith)Fixed it!
Cleaned computer and registry of all adobe products like cs4, reader etc. cleaned the registry etc. tehn installed from cd the trial and it worked. The key musta been having cs4 still installed.
Hope it helps someone else.
