Is that typical? Do you never get depth from a tri-pod pan solve? Or is it a unique result based on other variables, e.g, camera, format, etc. ?
That is correct. Since all pixels in the image are ever only viewed from one side (give or take minor skewing due to perspective distortion), there is no mathematicalyl reliable way to reconstruct and depth info. That would require a calibrated track using reference measures, but the current tracker doesn't support this, anyway.
