Hello Guys, just started learning video editing through Lynda.com tutorials for cs6 premier pro.I am using Asusg74sx laptop which having Nvidia geforce GTX560m graphic card with 3gb video ram,iam sure this supports gpu acceleration but when i opened premier pro its said mercury playback not supported, why?
As per the tutorial,
1)Before adding media to the timeline, When the video previewed in the project interface the video can be trimmed by pointing video in and out points using keyboard shortcuts I and O,but when i tried this nothing works.??
2) How to use the tilde key("~") on uk keyboard? google says by shift+# tried nothing happening? The tutorial says tilde key can be used to make the interface screens to full screen.
You can use the I/O keys on the source monitor to trim the source video. On the timeline it works to set an I/O point (I think it has to to do with splicing or lifting areas of a sequence)
I never have to hold down the Shift key to make the ~ function work. Just press it. You also might look into the Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts interface to make sure it didn't get reassigned...
1. You can't set I/O in Hover Scrub mode, you have to click the clip first. That will give you a playback bar at the bottom of the clip. You can then set In/Out points.
