I'm running PremPro in CS5 ProdPrem. I've imported an AE composition into the sequence in PP. But, every time I close PP and reenter the project the AE comp is "offline". Can I do something to stop this?
Doesn't work for Premiere Elements 1.0 to CS6 Premiere Pro
Only Library has Media. Timeline etc remains totally blank.
Correction ... Open the Sequence in the Media Bin and it works !
I expected that to happen automatically.
How do you import a Premier sequence without the assets attributed to it? I already have the assets in my current project and I don't want doubles.
Import just the sequence, not the entire project. This should add only media not already in the bins.
I have exported a .mov file at using HDV1080i50 and setting the frame size at 1920x1080. The exported file works perfectly outside Premier (Final Cut Express, QuickTime Player 10, QuickTime player 7). I am surprised though that the specs show a frame size of 1440x1080 and square pixels.
When I import the file back into Premiere, whichever settings I choose for the sequence, it shows as 4x3.
HDV is actually 4;3 with a PAR of 1.33.
Exporting hdv to 1920x1080 also requires to set the PAR to 1.0.
Thanks Ann. I eventually got it to work using a HDV1080i25 sequence and setting the clip to "Conform to HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)" in the Interpret footage window. Beats me why I should have to do this!

You probaly not exported it correctly.
These were my export settings:
1920 x 1080
I think I see the point - I exported using HDV1080i and landed myself with an anamorphic movie. I had tried other codecs, but they were so slow...
