Have you looked at the online documentation produced by Adobe?
That said, in large measure, AIR is sort of a "wrapper" around a Flex, Flash, or HTML app, so the knowledge needed to produce a decent AIR app is the same as the knowledge to produce a decent Flex, Flash, or HTML app -- and there are plenty of sources of information available about that.
I did find and download the online documentation after finding it from the links shapeworks provided. To be honest I wasn't aware of it's wrapper characteristic until finding a tutorial on the adobe site ( http://24ways.org/2007/christmas-is-in-the-air ).

Lynda.com's Flex series got me up to speed with Flex and Flex Builder quickly. Learning AIR on top of that is a small matter, and there's videos up there for that, too.
