1. Re: Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Noel Carboni Jul 16, 2012 12:52 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)Have you tried the various Graphics Processor settings? Make sure to fully shut Photoshop down and restart after any change to those and before testing.

2. Re: Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
thisIsBeetle Jul 16, 2012 1:49 PM (in response to Noel Carboni)I tried all different settings including unticking "Use Graphics Processor" and I got crashes with all of them. From what I'm searching it says ntdll.dll is connected to the printer somehow but I do not have any printers on my computer.

Noel Carboni Jul 16, 2012 2:22 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)Ntdll.dll is a basic system library that's involved with virtually everything. However, what you've done does tend to throw suspicion away from the display driver.
Are you seeing these problems often enough that you'd know pretty quickly whether the problem is solved?
I might suggest making the Microsoft XPS Document Writer the default printer, if it isn't already.

4. Re: Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
thisIsBeetle Jul 16, 2012 2:43 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)I made Microsoft XPS Document writer the default printer, I used older AMD Catalyst drivers 12.2 (from 12.6), I took off the GPU to clear of any dust but unfortunately it didn’t do anything. It seems the problem happens sometimes when I try to save something it triggers the crash. One thing that does it 100% of the time is when I work with the timeline and I try to save something for the web, after I click save, done or cancel the crash happens right after.

5. Re: Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
the_wine_snob Jul 16, 2012 3:12 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)Did that crash log come from Event Viewer, or was it presented in a crash log, or similar?
If it did not come from Event Viewer, I would look there, in both the System and Applications tabs, at about the time of the crashes. Look first for error, or warning messages, and read each. If any have links, be sure to follow ALL links.
If there is nothing showing as an error, or warning message, I would then look to see just which processes/programs are being called at about the time of those crashes. Anything out of the ordinary there?
Good luck,
Hunt

thisIsBeetle Jul 16, 2012 3:40 PM (in response to the_wine_snob)Yes that came from the Event Viewer. Unfortunately I don't have any of the info. Where do I find them? I checked both tabs and this is what I find around the time of the crash

the_wine_snob Jul 16, 2012 3:45 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)Thanks for that info. I do not see any possible links in there. Those often hold keys to what has happened. Maybe others can nail down that faulting module, but I am not familiar with it. I was hoping for some links.
Good luck,

8. Re: Photoshop CS6 has stopped working. Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Noel Carboni Jul 16, 2012 3:53 PM (in response to thisIsBeetle)I'm kind of at a loss for what to suggest next, save for maybe (if you haven't tried it already) a reset of all the Photoshop preferences to defaults. That seems to solve more things than it should.
If you want to return Photoshop's preferences to defaults, press and hold Control - Shift - Alt instantly after cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quick enough - and you have to be very quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences.
Keep in mind you'll have to redo the various preference settings you've made (though your workspace will still be available if you've named it).
