I have a very simple subtle shadow on a white wall created in Photoshop which prints perfectly. When I try to import this TIFF into Indesign and print with identical print settings, the shadow crunches up causing a series of banded rings on the white wall.
Please can anyone tell me how i can alleviate this? Is this a TIFF setting or a graphics setting in Indesign?
Could this be a colour space issue? I have had mild success using a different print profile in indesign (changed to adobe rgb) which helped smooth this effect somewhat, however the colours in the image are now out of whack.
Please could someone explain why this linked image would print differently under exactly the same settings from indesign..
thanks for your help..
Is the image scaled after placement in Indesign? If so, the banding could be caused from the resampling of the image.
